The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), in collaboration with the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), hold the culminating activity of the ‘Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan’ at the People Power Monument in Quezon City on May 1, 2022.
With the theme, ‘Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan Tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,’ the Duterte Legacy Caravan aims to inform the public on the government’s landmark programs geared towards real change and delivery of basic services. This is in compliance with Executive Order (EO) No. 137 that institutionalized the ‘Aid and Humanitarian Operations Nationwide Convergence Program’ to enhance agency coordination and collaboration in the distribution of assistance to the Filipino people.
The Caravan, intensified through the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP), ensures aid and support to Filipinos in times of emergencies such as the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
