As a former regional cadre of the CPP/NPA/NDF in Eastern Visayas and former National Executive Committee Member and Nominee of KABATAAN Partylist, I am saddened and alarmed with the recent events in Baguio City involving its very Local Chief Executive (LCE).Sad because he was still victimized by the revolutionary dual tactics amidst his knowledge on the CPP/NPA/NDF, now designated as a communist terrorist group (CTG).
Revolutionary dual tactics means turning the table against the enemy by shaking the table constantly until it is turned using the CTG united front principles. With this, the CPP/NPA/NDF will form legal and illegal organizations like the KABAG (Kabataan, Anakpawis, Bayan Muna, Act Teachers, and Gabriela) partylists then incite them to isolate government officials one by one until the democratic government is destroyed and replaced by communism.
The election season is an opportune time for this communist terrorist group to recover their united front (UF) building from their losing stance. At the very core of this UF building is the CPP leadership.
Even though Mayor Magalong is a victim, one of his views is still alarming. He said that “activists are activists and they will never resort to violence.” Based on my experience and the experiences of other former rebels, we started as activists then become CPP cadres while leading these legal organizations and partylists, searching and targeting recruits for NPA and CPP inside these legal organizations.
Take note, we have a quota, systematic recruitment. The AFP and PNP know this because documents recovered from their raids in NPA camps specifically indicate the CPP/NPA/NDF recruitment design under its political and organizational plan. With this evidence, may I ask the honorable mayor? Are you hoping that by being “accommodating” to the KABATAAN Partylist and those nuns, the local communist armed conflict will lessen? Definitely not.
They will use you and your good image against other government officials to heat up the conflict. They will use you to encourage more young people to join their ranks and later join the ranks of the CTG, the same road we had taken a few years ago. The same with Mayor Magalong’s view, the NTF ELCAC is the best solution to end the 53 years of communist armed conflict. Thus, I enjoin him to re-examine his network and decisively end his accommodation to these CPP-led legal organizations. ###
